Followed by a candid conversation with Magnus Conteh on achieving Universal Health coverage in an equitable way. In this special webinar, they will discuss:

Magnus Conteh joined the Last Mile Health team in 2018 to lead the Community Health Academy, which aims to reinvent the education of community health workers – and the health system leaders who support them – for the digital age.

Magnus brings over 25 years of senior level experience in education, global health, and digital health to Last Mile Health. Previously, Magnus worked for seven years at World Vision Ireland, most recently serving as the Deputy CEO/Director of Programmes and Strategy. Notably, he led World Vision’s involvement in the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen Ebola Vaccine trial in Sierra Leone, which included overseeing the deployment of technology critical for the clinical trial. In addition to serving as a member of the World Vision International Digital Health Steering Committee, he forged multi-stakeholder collaboratives and digital health partnerships with a number of governments, mobile network operators, and other INGOs in Africa. Prior to joining World Vision Ireland, he held a number of senior management positions in the National Health Service in the UK and the Health Service Executive in Ireland, where he served as Director for the Regional Centre of Nursing/Midwifery Education at the University Hospital in Galway. Magnus holds a Masters of Health Science (Hons) in Health Services Research from the National University of Ireland, Masters of Arts in Health Service Policy and Management from Brunel University (UK), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from Kingston Business School at Kingston University (UK).

Ramesh is an Associate Professor at MIT Media Lab and inventor of a camera to see around corners for which he received the 2016 Lemelson–MIT Prize. He holds 90+ US patents, and the books he has co-authored include, Spatial Augmented Reality, Computational Photography, and 3D Imaging; appeared in NYTimes, CNN, BBC, NewScientist, TechnologyReview, and several technology news websites; and has worked on special research projects at Google [X], Facebook, Apple. He is co-founder of EyeNetra and several other companies
